The Fall season is almost upon us and it is time once again for....HarvestFest !! Below you will find several events that are goin on around town and we encorage you to participate.

 

Halloween Decorated House and Business Contest

Boo! Get your house and businesses ready for spooky days in October. Registration forms are available at Tipp-Monroe Community Services or at Midwest Memories and are due by October 10, 2008.

Categories for houses are Scariest, Most Original and Best use of a Halloween Theme. Business categories are Best Use of a Halloween Theme and Best Inclusion of the Business Product in Decorations. Sponsored by Tipp-Monroe Community Services and the Downtown Tipp City Partnership. Call TMCS at 667-8631 for more information.

 

Halloween Party and Parade - October 20

Let’s scare the dickens out of the town! Get your costumes ready! Tipp-Monroe Community Services will host their annual Halloween Party and Parade on Monday, October 20, 2008. The parade and party is open to children from 3-12 years old. The parade will begin at 6 PM starting at Broadway Elementary School. Costume judging will be held in the Tipp City United Methodist Church parking lot followed by the annual Halloween Party. There will be crafts and games.

 

Live Clue Game - October 21

Tippecanoe Mystery Tour - October 25

Take a walking tour of old Tippecanoe City and see where odd and mysterious things happened around town. Registration not required.

HarvestFest Party - October 25

HarvestFest is back! Come join us for the second annual outdoor over-21 party in downtown Tipp City! We’re shutting down 2nd street in the historic downtown shopping district and putting up tents for refreshments and a creepy Halloween bash! Local favorites Spungewurthy are returning.

You must be 21 WITH PROPER ID to pick your poison - beer, food and drinks. Come in costume to save $2 off admission and compete in our costume contests!

  Date/Time: October 25th, 7 to 11pm (live music from 7 to 10 pm).   Spungeworthy
  Location: Second Street and Main, downtown Tipp City. Ample free parking available on Main Street or on Broadway, one block south of the party.  
  Cost: Tickets at the gate are $5 or $3 for people in costume - and remember, you must be 21 WITH PROPER ID to enter.  

Additional information:

Second Street will be closed down from Main to the alley behind Harrisons and the Opera House. We’re planning to have folks enter from the Main Street side and the sidewalk along Harrison’s will remain open for walking traffic Street closure paperwork and permits are all done and we’re moving forward with the process of securing the beer and food Patrons will pay $5 ($3 in costume) to enter the fenced-off beer area, where tickets will be sold. Those tickets can be used to purchase beer or other beverages.

The staging area for the band will be on the south end of the area, facing north.

Extreme Pumpkin Carving - October 28

We'll provide some training, patterns, and supplies; even a pumpkin if you need one. Whether you are a novice or an expert, we think you'll enjoy yourself. All levels of carvers welcome. Registration not required. C'mon, let's carve!
